Gloria Davidson Marlow’s heart is firmly planted in the northeast Florida neighborhood where she grew up in a family of commercial fishermen (and women!). Her home inspires her romantic suspense novels, allowing her to use beautiful settings from northeast Florida in her books. She’s a homemaker at heart who loves cooking, Florida wines, and making pickles and jellies. She and her husband, also a commercial fisherman, have three young grandsons with whom Gloria cannot spend nearly enough time.
Gloria is a born-and-bred Florida girl, and will tell you that part of her withers up when she gets too far from saltwater. Her heart is firmly planted in the northeast Florida neighborhood where she grew up, and where her father continues a fishing business started generations ago by his own family. Her husband is part of the family business too, and shrimps with her father. She reminisces: “When it was still legal, my husband used to take me out gill net fishing. I loved that! It was the coolest thing ever to put the net out and then feel the fish in it when you were pulling it up.”
Her home inspires her romantic suspense novels, providing beautiful settings from Amelia Island to St Augustine Beach in her books.
As she continues to write romantic suspense, she is also expanding her horizons into learning crafts like soap and cheesemaking. Gloria has three very young grandsons with whom she cannot spend nearly enough time.
